Photo with Name and Date

Some exams and forms ask for a recent photo with your name and the date it was taken printed at the bottom. Crop your photo, type your name, set the date and download it.

Your file stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

Form rules change often. Always check the official notification for the exact size, format and file-size limit before you upload.

How to use

  1. Choose a recent photo, taken in good light and looking straight at the camera.
  2. Pick the size your form asks for, or choose Custom size.
  3. Type your name and check the date. Zoom and move so your face is inside the photo area.
  4. Tap Make photo and download it. Add a KB limit if the form needs one.

Take a fresh photo so the date is true and recent. The name and date strip takes the bottom part of the picture, so keep your face higher up. Always check the official notification for the exact photo size, KB limit and what must be written on it.

Questions and answers

What is a photo with name and date?

Some exams ask for a photo with your name and the date it was taken written at the bottom, to show that the photo is recent.

Where do the name and date go?

On a white strip at the bottom of the photo. The strip is part of the final size, so the photo area becomes a little shorter.

Can I use an old photo?

Use a recent photo taken for the form. Writing a false date on an old photo is wrong and may get your form rejected.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool runs inside your browser. Your file stays on your phone or computer and is never sent to our server.

Is this tool free?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and has no daily limit.
